Dr. Robert Borgholthaus established our practice in 1958 when he came to live in Mountain Home. He was a solo practitioner and served Elmore and Owyhee Counties for many years.  When Dr. Nathan Price joined the practice in 1996 our name changed to Elmore County Eyecare and we moved to our current location early in 1997.  A few years later, Dr. Jeffrey Gibbons joined the practice and Dr. Borgholthaus took the opportunity to retire.  Dr. Price and Dr. Gibbons worked to build the practice together until they invited Dr. Kyle Kenison to join them in 2014.  Over the years our practice has grown, but all of us at Elmore County Eyecare still love living in Mountain Home and serving the wonderful people throughout Southern Idaho.

Dr. Nathan Price, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Price is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has practiced in Mountain Home since 1996. He is a member of the Mountain Home Lions Club and has given much support to local youth sports and other activities.  He has spent many years as a leader of the Boy Scouts of America.  He enjoys the outdoors whether it is walking, hiking, camping or boating with his family.  Dr. Price has also served on many humanitarian vision missions in Central America, South America, and Africa. He considers it a blessing to have had those opportunities.  He speaks Spanish as well.  He very much enjoys working with his patients and getting to know them better to identify their needs..

Dr. Jeffrey Gibbons O.D., F.A.A.O

Dr. Gibbons is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He served as an Air Force optometrist at Patrick Air Force Base and Mountain Home Air Force Base.  He is actively involved in his Church and enjoys spending time with his family.  He is an avid soccer fan and loves everything about it. Dr. Gibbons is fluent in spanish and has gone on many humanitarian vision missions to Central and South America.  He is a native of Mountain Home and joined the practice in 2001. ​

Dr. Kyle Kenison, O.D.

​Dr. Kenison is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry. He joined the practice in October 2013 after retiring from the United States Air Force, where he served  for 20 years as an Optometrist.  He is a member of the American Legion post 101 in Mountain Home.  He enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys golf and watching the Red Sox.  He is originally from Montana and enjoys being back in the Northwest.  He is a great asset to our practice.
